Operators CPC

To run vehicles over 3.5 Tonnes gvw for hire and reward, a standard Operators Licence will need to be obtained.  One of the prerequisites for this is that there must be a Professionally Competent Person who has effective control of the vehicles.  The Certificate of Professional Competence proves professional competence.

There is now only one qualification that is a combined national and international qualification, although it is possible to add on the old international unit onto an existing national qualification until December 2013.

Operators CPC Compliance

This course has been designed for busy transport managers who have an existing operators license but have very little time to spare on continuous rules , regulation, and legislation changes.

You can come to us for a one day course in order to keep up to date with all aspects of your operators compliance, some areas covered in this course include Driver CPC, Compliance risk score, Drivers Hours, and Maintenance. Please contact the office for available dates.

Additional Note for International Candidates
Please note, OCR took the decision a number of years ago when the format of the qualification changed significantly to include the case study papers, that those who obtained their CPC National before October 1999 can no longer upgrade to an international by the normal route of sitting Module 6 or 7 alone.  They must instead take the full examinations.
